Where are you located?
I’m in central Maryland – but I currently coach clients across the United States.
What are your hours?
I’m available for coaching sessions Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
How long is each coaching session?
Each session is normally 1 hour long. Periodically, we’ll plan ahead to do a particular coaching exercise that will go longer. There is no extra charge for the longer sessions.
How do I get started?
Fill out the form below or call the number, and I’ll get back to you to schedule an exploration session. Once we determine we’re a great fit, we’ll meet weekly and transform your life!
How do I pay?
Coaching works on a monthly retainer. You’ll receive an invoice at the beginning of the month, and you can pay on an online portal at your convenience.
What is your cancellation policy?
What kind of people do you work with?
I work with adults of any background, sex, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc. The only non-negotiable prerequisites to coach with me are a commitment to transformation, brutal honesty with yourself, and a willingness to trust your power.
How is coaching different than therapy?
Therapy is super valuable if you have past pain to heal or a disorder to manage. Coaching is 100% present- and future-oriented.
Therapy seeks to repair what’s broken; coaching creates what’s possible. Therapy can also get bogged down in talking without much action, but coaching is always action-oriented, creative, and goal-focused.
Many folks benefit from seeing a therapist and a coach at the same time. But often, those who have gone to therapy for years without seeing much change will benefit from coaching.
Why do you coach remotely?
Most of my clients are busy with jobs, family, entrepreneurial endeavors, and creative pursuits. Meeting remotely allows you to achieve the greatest impact with the smallest disruption of your daily schedule.
How does coaching differ from consulting?
Consulting usually involves a cerebral analysis of an issue. The consultant offers solutions and answers from their expertise.
By contrast, a coach partners with you to ask the right questions and keeps YOU as the expert of your life. We engage your whole person – body, heart, mind, soul.
What is a coaching session like?
Your coaching request drives your individual session. A coaching request is a specific ask for an area of your life that you want to change. It could involve a work project, a relationship, a hobby, a financial goal – really anything.
Working together, you and I establish a clear goal – a tangible, measurable result that will get you where you want to be. Then, together, we formulate strategies to help you achieve your stated goal.
Inevitably, fears and insecurities, hesitations and concerns come up. Together, we explore who you’re choosing to be and what else is possible. This powerful expression of curiosity gives you access to intentional, freeing, and creative action.
At this stage, the true transformation takes place – you walk away with accomplishments you previously considered impossible AND a new understanding of yourself that’s not based on circumstances, good fortune, or emotions.
Every week, you’ll have practice opportunities to take on in between sessions – a reflection, a list of barriers for a goal, a new daily practice, or a brainstorming/dreaming narrative.
How do I know if coaching is for me?
If you have big plans, but you feel like you’re constantly getting in your own way – if you’re primed for action but don’t know which steps to take – if you sense your life could be fuller, more epic, and more fun, then coaching is 100% for you.
If you like a challenge and you think that being pushed tends to bring out the best in you – coaching is 100% for you.
How will I benefit from coaching?
If you really commit to coaching, you’ll walk away with accomplishments you never thought possible. You’ll walk away with deeper satisfaction, “bullet-proof” from the stresses of life.
You’ll walk away with a powerful understanding of yourself and your capabilities. You’ll walk away with an expanded sense of what your life can be.
Do you coach couples? Teams?
Yes! Romantic partners who have big dreams together, business partnerships that feel stagnant, or any team that senses its own potential are great fits for group coaching. Even more, the built-in accountability and community of working on big dreams with more than just your coach can accelerate the process dramatically!
I’m doing OK in life – can I still benefit from coaching?
Yes! You don’t need a specific “problem to fix” to benefit from coaching.
Many folks simply feel that there can be more to life – more connection, more financial abundance, more happiness, more creativity, more love.
If things are going OK for you, but you’d like to find out what more is possible for you – in your relationships, your work, your connection to Self, or your impact on the world around you – coaching is perfect for you.
Were you ever a coaching client?
Yes! I had a great job for 12 years – but had plateaued. I didn’t have direct oversight from a boss, so initially, I hired my coach to be a sort of “hired boss” for me. But the relationship went so much deeper. From my coaching as a client, I opened a new gym, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, became a dog person again, created a template for a weekend backpacking/self-defense training/personal reflection trip, and finally carried out a plan to address deep childhood trauma.
Dogs or cats?
Both! I grew up mostly as a cat person, but now my Alaskan malamute, Malcolm, is my main guy!
What’s one game-changing thing I can do today?
Start journaling. Set aside half an hour to sit and put your thoughts on paper. Everyone I know who experiences deep transformation keeps a journal.
There are a thousand reasons to do it. If you work with me for any length of time, you’ll experience the power of it!
